Chasing An Oil Leak, I Started By Changing Out The Rocker Cover Gaskets.

It sounds like a lifter not getting oil up to it or a weak lifter.when you first start up a cold engine most of the oil is in the oil pan.after you start up the engine the oil has to go from the oil pan to the rockers and lifters and such.you said it quiets down after it warms up.i don't.

Has good oil pressure, no leaking from engine. A few weeks ago i pulled the valve covers and replaced all of the lifters with melling brand ones. But i replaced them and noise still there.

According to the manual, you need to have a wedge tool to keep the timing chain tensioners secured so as not to allow them to extend and force you to have to remove the timing chain cover.
